Comments: I am a huge fan and this a great site! I saw Mr. Patinkin when he performed in Norfolk, Va~~I thought he was great and I really liked it when he involved the audience. He just didn't stand up there and sing for 2 hours~~he threw a party with audience participation. Comments: My husband and I had the privilege of seeing Mandy Patinkin in Toronto at the Hummingbird Centre on May 17th, 1999. His Mamaloshen performance was one of the most beautiful, heartfelt and unforgettable renditions of yiddishkeit we have ever seen and heard. He takes a song and magically spins and weaves the words and music together with such reverence and love flowing right to your soul. Magnificent !!!!!!!!

Comments: I would like Mandy to know another corneal transplant success story. My first transplant (keratoconus like Mandy) was almost 50 years ago in 1949 my second and third were in 1950 and 1951 (also two more in 1985 and 1987). I also have two implants (cataracts). My eyesight is 20/25 in left eye and 20/40 in right eye (with glasses). I'm 71, a retired professor (where eyesight was a must) I play tennis regularly (singles only), swim, jog, drive, etc. I'm not bragging I just want Mandy to know how lucky both of us are (surgery in 1949 was very different from what it is today - and very much more risky). Incidentally, I'll be attending Mandy's concert on May 26th at the N. J. Performing Art Center in Newark. My best to him.

Comments: I became a fan of Mandy Patinkin when I happened to see the Christmas Chicago Hope episode where he sings the Casey song in a Christmas program. I then became a Chicago Hope fan and am seeking out anything he appears in. I saw his concert performance in San Francisco a couple of nights ago which was unbelievably fantastic. He stated that he never takes an intermission and after singing for 90 minutes, he announced that he just decided that he would sing all of the songs that were to appear in his upcoming "Kidults" album (some of which he had already sung). This would be an additional 56 minutes so he told the audience that he would understand if they had to leave and some people did. The concert then ran for 2.5 hours without him taking a break. He also did what I thought was wonderful: he put a box at the foot of the stage and asked the audience to donate to PAX (because of the Littleton, CO shooting) and/or to Doctors without Borders (because of the Kosovor refugees). He is truly a wonderful man and a great preformer.

Comments: I just saw Mandy's concert in Minneapolis on 4/21 and he was fantastic (as he was the previous two times in concert here). I also was impressed when he showed his support of various programs (Doctors without Borders and Pax) and his encouragement of others to show their support. He stood in the lobby of the theater and met with people who were donating money to these two causes and said that he would stay in the lobby for as long as it takes so that everyone who wanted to meet him and donate had that opportunity. That is what makes him a star!!

Comments: I've been going to theatre and other concert venues for over 35 years and when Mandy came to SF over a year ago, I was totally won over by his enthusiasm, his voice, his passion for his work, his variety..... and on. It had been a long time since I was in a house that leapt to its feet as a body of one at the end of the show. My thought, no my wish, on leaving the theatre, was "I have to do this again, he was tremendous". My wish is coming true April 30th. Row D is mine. I've been rehearsing my leap to my feet as I might have torn a ligament last time (smile). As Orson Welles would say as he stood in front of the microwave, "faster, faster". I say toward April 30th, "hurry, hurry". I saw Mandy in Evita when it toured pre-Broadway and in Sunday in the Park with George, but nothing comes close to his appearance on stage and in concert. Hurry! Hurry! To those out there that haven't seen him yet, I also say "Hurry, Hurry". It's a concert for the ages and an entertainer of a lost caliber. He's a Garland, a Merman and Jolson all rolled into his own stylized package. You're guaranteed to say "Hurrah. Hurrah", when the "hurry" is over.

Comments: Mandy is one of the finest performers around. He is so entertaining. I have had the honour of metting him four times thus far and nest month in Toronto, Canada, hope to meet him once again. He is such a genuine human being. He is friendly with all of his fans and takes time to talk to each one individually. He is always obliging when it comes to having photos taken and signing autographs. This is also a person who takes time to respond to fan mail. How nice can he be? Very nice. I am a great fan. Comments: i chose favorite role and album, but i could have checked any of them. i saw mandy on the stage in evita, sunday in the park and the secret garden and loved them all. i saw his oscar and steve concert at the fox in atlanta and loved it. i have seen most of his movies and own all his albums including the sound tracks and needless to say was a regular viewer of chicago hope .. still am on the off chance he has a guest role. i probably bought the first two copies of mamaloshen (one for my sister, one for me) because i was watching for it after reading it was coming on the dust jacket of his mothers cookbook which i also tracked down. am i a fan? i feel as if i was a fan before a lot of his current fans even heard of him! my hope is that he will soon be in another stage show .. preferably sondheim and preferably with bernadette peters. i wish his mamaloshen show would come to atlanta. great website. thank you.

Although I have never met him before (but that's my goal), his warmth and sincerity are readily evident and he seems to be wholeheartedly dedicated to not only his family (and I like him for that), but to his career and fans. I said that when he left "Chicago Hope" I would never watch it again and I have to say that I still do enjoy the show, however if I do miss it, it's no big deal as it was when he was still on it--I have every episode with him recorded! I truly hope that he knows how much his fans really do appreciate him and respect him for what he stands for not only for the charities that he supports, but for the tremendous respect that he has for his fans--truly a sincere man!

Comments: My husband and I have met Mandy six times in Cincinnati, Columbus, Ohio and in New York as well. He has always been so gracious.

I thank him sincerely for the inspiration he gave my husband. Had it not been for Mandy sharing his experience regarding his first corneal transplant, I believe my husband would have put off the surgery indefinately. I will be forever grateful to him.
